How to enter the National Cupcake Champioonships 2014

Entries opened on 16 May and the closing date is 15 August 2014.

This will give you plenty of time to perfect your winning recipe. The British Baker team along with a panel of judges will conduct a paper judging round at the end of August to get the 15 finalists in each category. In this round the entries will be judged on recipe and appearance so please ensure you send a good quality picture, the professional entrants will also be measured on their business model.

The shortlisted entries will be revealed on 15th September to coincide with the first day of National Cupcake Week.

All finalists will receive one free pass to the Cake Internal on 8th November where the finals will be held. The finalists will be judged on taste and appearance by a panel of top professionals.

Entry forms can be found at and you are able to enter one cupcake per category i.e. a maximum of 4. Entry costs are £12 per entry for adults and £5 per entry for children.

The competition is open to all but those entering in the professional category must have a registered business address.
